Automatic validations of Part-FCL licences

Following implementation of Regulation (EU) No 2018/1065 Part-FCL licences issued by the Icelandic Transport Authority will include the following remark under item XIII on the licence: “This licence is automatically validated as per the ICAO attachment to this licence”. The change in Regulation was made in response to several ramp inspections outside the European Economic Area, when the flight crew members were found operating aircraft registered in a Member State other than the one that had issued their pilot licences.

All Part-FCL licences issued/re-issued by the Icelandic Transport Authority after 5 December will include the above mentioned remark. The attachment referred to in the remark is available on the EASA website . Part-FCL licence holders operating aircraft registered in other EASA member states can print out the attachment and present during Ramp inspections if required.
