Air operations relating to volcanic eruptions
Operators perform risk assessments based on available information such as from meteorological offices, aircraft and engine manufacturers and other parties, as appropriate.
Risk assessments are used to determine whether it is acceptable to operate the aircraft under such conditions. Air operator personnel are trained in such situations and operate in accordance with approved procedures.
