Change of service due to COVID-19
Due to stricter rules regarding the COVID-19 epidemic, the general reception of the Icelandic Transport Authority at Ármúli 2 is closed from Monday 5 October 2020.
Customers are advised to familiarize themselves with the available means to complete the necessary tasks during this situation:
• My page (Mitt svæði) online service is open around the clock every day of the year. You can complete vehicle ownership changes in Mitt svæði .
• Web Chat at www.samgongustofa.is (bottom right corner). Open from 9-16 every weekday.
• A mailbox will be available at the entrance of ICETRA for receiving documents. There will be instructions on the box regarding documents received.
• The ICETRA Telephone Service Centre is open all weekdays from 9-16. Phone 480 6000.
• E-mail address: samgongustofa@samgongustofa.is for general queries and neytendur@samgongustofa.is regarding passenger rights.
