Amendment of regulation on the obligation to check COVID-19 certificates in connection with international flights

Please note that regulation no. 650/2021 has been amended with regulation nr. 961/2021, with effect from 1 September 2021.

According to the amendment, aircraft operators are no longer obliged to check passenger certificate or attestation of a negative outcome from a COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) test (negative PCR-test for passengers that present either a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) or they present a certificate attesting they have had COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2).

For passengers that cannot present a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) or a certificate attesting they have had COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2), must as of 1 September 2021 present a negative PCR test that is not older than 72 hours. Please note that antigen test will not be sufficient as of 1 September.

Please note that obligation to pre-register does not change and that the above concerns the obligation of aircraft operators to check COVID-19 certificates in connection with international flights.
